Its Time for School!
We are so excited to be starting a new year. It was great to see so many smiling faces the first day of school.
This week we are starting our first unit in Social Studies on communities and Science which we will be studying Organisms and their habitats.
In Math we are reviewing multiplication to start off the year so that we can get to division quickly. Please review multiplication tables at home with your child so that they become more familiar day by day.
In Reading and Language Arts we will be reading "Dragon gets by" and starting our first vocabulary list. I will send home the list of words so that you can practice with your child on how to spell them, every Friday there will be a vocabulary quiz on the list sent home. I will also post the list weekly on here.

My Professional Mission
It is my ambition in my teaching career to integrate curriculum in to my classroom always making learning fun in a safe and supportive environment. I will support differentiated learning to assist students with disabilities by providing individual support and services to those who need it. I promise to provide each student with a solid foundation for lifelong learning and to become respectful individuals. My goal is make a positive difference in each of my students’ lives. What I mean by my mission statement is that I will go by the curriculum so that I am teaching these students’ everything they are supposed to be taught. I will try to make learning fun by doing hands on lessons, and mixing lessons up for example not just reading from the text book but using different materials. I will make sure that they have a safe environment physically, emotionally, and socially. I will also make sure that they are always in a supportive environment so that they know in my classroom they are supported one hundred percent no matter what the issue is. Working with the special education population I will always have modifications in place for those who need them. Providing a solid foundation for lifelong learning means that I will provide them with the essentials of life and hope that they will continue throughout their lifetime to educate themselves whether it is through continuing school or getting a solid job. Next is that I will help them become respectful individuals, I will teach them that in life you treat people how you want to be treated. And lastly I want to make a positive difference in their lives whether it is that they came to our school, were not able to make it in public school but because of my way of teaching, caring, and environment they are able to make it in a school environment.
